I was going down memory lane today and landed here. This site was always something we used to look at. It’s been several years since I worked for Follett. I just quit. Best career decision I’ve ever made. Don’t think twice about the impact you leaving will have. It’s a toxic environment. I probably added years back to my life leaving that bullsh-t.

The amount of experience you have is unbelievable if you’ve worked for fallout. Take what you know and sell yourself. You can always just get a job to bring income in and then continue looking. You can use LinkedIn and put your résumé out that way. Just know that you have worked your a-s off to get to where you are and you will never have to work that hard again. The rest of the world truly appreciates an employee that is a hard worker and they pay you for it. You might have to go through a few jobs to get to the one that you want. Just know that you have much to offer and will be truly appreciated on the outside world. There is definitely life after fallout. Good luck. You can do it.

It took me 6 months to get hired someplace else. I watched a lot of "self made millennial" on YouTube. I highly recommend it to brush up on your skills and write a better resume. (Not the paid program, just the free videos) Keep positive. I am so much happier, better work life balance, no more stress. Also, after working at Follett, you will be surprised how much harder you have been forced to work compared to everyone else. Good luck, don't be discouraged, you can do this and it will be worth it.

Make a budget. Cut expenses you can live without and find a job that pays less but without the stress.

@eg that's true if you're an associate or team lead. For some it has been a career we're desperate to change.

It’s just a job, not a career.
Only the brains at OTC have a career.
Stop caring.
Some fast food places pay better.

@e8
Totally fair...constant stress is not good.
Good luck

I've looked and it's so hard to find something else. I don't know if I can do another rush. The stress is causing depression. I need to find something else.

Stupid answer. Start looking now, set up a plan and think hard what you want.
