there are more people that do not care about nfl ticket than there are people that care about nfl ticket. Or else Direct tv would be posting a profit.

Losing Sunday Ticket will cause more people to drop DTV. Can't tell you how many people I have heard say "if it weren't for Sunday Ticket I'd drop 'em".

NFL ticket has never made a profit for Direct tv. A loss for Direct tv is a loss for Att in income. Which is a savings of 1.5 billion a year.

whoops!

T is no longer on the financial hook for DTV programming. T's interest is basically that of the majority shareholder.

So T wouldn't have had to pay out the cash for NFLST. Unfortunately, losing that will hurt DTV's income, which in turn hurts T since T owns about 70% of DTV shares.

Whoops!
