Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

The word is out….

…about how bad Allstate is. Allstate has had a bad reputation among some parties for years now, but its reputation has really tanked recently. I am constantly asked if things are as bad as they have heard. This comes from attorneys (on both sides), adjusters, agents, and normal people. When I say I’m not there anymore people say thank god and ask if they are going to go bankrupt or be bought out.
Reputation is important and Allstate’s is widely disparaged!

Wilson must go. Then there may be hope.

They will not go bankrupt or be bought out. The stock price is $130 or so. It would take a massive amount of money to buy the company. Nobody will do that at this level. Will they slowly shrink and lose market share every year? Yes, that will happen, but as always, in spite of the massive amounts of inept leadership they will be aggressive with rates and continue to make money for Wall St.

Then why are you on this site? You are of no value to the company at this point. Life is too short to complain about what you have no control over. Merry Christmas 🎄

OP…You could not be more correct. However, the senior management team does not care about reputation. They care about stock price, stock buybacks and dividends.

Allstate has a reputation of being afraid of the media. And pretty much denying all requests of an explanation of their policies and conditions of the company.
