Too many insults

This site has descended into a place for people to insult upper management with foul language and insult others who may have a different opinion, or somewhere just to post long rambling rants that sound like the unemployed man in the pub who thinks he can do the President’s job better.
There may be only 1 or 2 people making all the noise but it overpowers anything the grown ups are trying to talk about.

@OP don't read it then if you are so offended by a few hurty words.
The reason people are pi---d is because nothing is ever explained. They preach it, but they never bring the 'why'. Everything is hidden. Most things are broken or hanging by a thread and they actively do things to make it worse. People here may care about the company and their co-workers, maybe that's fooling but they do and they don't want to sit back and see it all go up in smoke.

Oscar voting is open until Wednesday, don't forget to nominate your manager for best supporting role as a leader at FIS. Being interrogated by their VP is nothing new to them. The better question is why is it necessary/

@bf they read this site not for information about how to improve life for their employees, they are reading this site to determine where the leaks are. The mirror being held up to them is so uncomfortable only in terms of the threat to maintaining their own positions and power. They treat their employees, the ones producing the profits that line their pockets and put them on private planes, like something they want to scrape off of their shoes. They are terrified that a reporter is reading this site too because there is so much information here to reveal to their shareholders and the public at large. Their guts are rumbling at the mere thought. Those joint ski trips to Switzerland are at risk.

@0P it’s worth remembering that people often come here because they’re worried about their jobs, their teams, and decisions that directly affect their livelihoods. When communication is unclear, emotions can run high. That doesn’t excuse disrespect through insults. it may help explain why some posts feel intense.

Upper Management decisions have real impacts, and it’s natural for people to want a space to question, challenge, and share concerns, particularly because internally it feels concerns are not being heard and what is being portrayed does not reflect reality.

There is always some self-satisfied person who shows up with this sentiment. Their sense of privilege, most likely unearned, protects them. Clearly, they have not been laid off...yet. They have not worried about the stability of their family, they have not worried about paying their rent or mortgage, they don't have a medically fragile family member relying on their health insurance, they don't see the current job market and stare at the ceiling wondering how to replace their income at the same level. So, here is what will happen when they are unceremoniously shown the door, they will scream the loudest. Sharing information and anxiety here has been invaluable to many. This is not a hostage situation, stop showing up here if you are so delicate. You are embarrassing yourself.

This is literally from a site called The Layoff....

I am not saying that all management has to be concerned with every single employee, but to come onto a site specifically dealing with LAYOFFS, it is pretty brazen to say that people should "tone down" what they are posting.

When VPs tell their employees that "we need to stop making our employees feel comfortable", I am pretty sure there isn't a lot of empathy for letting subordinates go.

I think negative comments are an indicator of how toxic this workplace is. I guess it's good that some departments are insulated and content but that's not the experience of most employees.

Freedom of speech. If you don't like what real people have to say about upper management then GTFO and take your sorry a-s somewhere else . I'm sure you will not find real feedback in exit interviews and fake survey's that satisy only the upper management with percentages and no real feedback. You need to accept feedback even if it's in your face to really grow up.

Here's the amazing thing about life. You can choose to read something or not. But to come in here complaining about how people complain or post details is the sign of some serious personal issues. If you do not like something, stop reading it. If you do not like this place where people post details of the company sc--wing them over, inside information not all are privy to, words you do not like, and more and more. Do not come here.

Anyone who wants to or needs to post something, post away. People trying to stop you are always around. We are fine with ignoring you and down-voting you. Enjoy your day!
