Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What's current headcount?

Any official numbers? Any guesses?

2020=72k
2021=63k
2022=?

My estimate based on the ridiculous attrition I've witnessed this year: 50k.

This is tricky since headcount in US and Western Europe is in decline but there is bigger expansions in AP, Brazil and other low cost centers to company for the attrition in US. I am curious to know the US headcount numbers rather than the total employee number.

2017 to 2019 huge hiring binge. Executives rewarded for having great plans to grow.

2020 same executives not punished for that growth plan, instead rewarded for their new massive layoff plan. That was after blatant lie that no plans for layoff.

There is zero accountability for bad decisions by EM executives
