Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

FTOW are just sales reps with 2-4 less stores

It’s funny to see all these FTOW not push back on the fact that they are essentially becoming sales reps with no car, no salary, no 401k, 1/2 the bonus, and 30-40% less pay

I mean I’m glad I’m leaving with a little money and time on my side, but 50-60% of these guys will be gone in 6mo

There are tons of other pack out jobs that pay the same or more without all that hassle

This is corporate America! This is what corporations have been eroding to over last decade…why? If you want to control the majority of the population to be dependent on help in some form, you enslave them legally. Rename position, eliminate all the perks, benefits, get rid of the old timers, as they’re a liability to you. See they’ll tell the FTOW, why didn’t you all file a class action lawsuit over the past 2 yrs? You’ve been doing the same job, w/ same responsibilities as an SR, only in what they call the “D” stores, for 1/2 the pay, no comp. car, fraction of bonus, & dunno if you had/have access to a 401k plan? Please explain to me what the differences were? I’d legally like to know as well….

Um, let's put the blame for Mondelez sucking where it belongs MANAGEMENT!!!

If a sales rep is lazy or incompetent, the manager allows it. It a FTOW or merchandiser is lazy or incompetent, THE MANAGER ALLOWS IT.

THE LACK OF ANY MANAGEMENT OF BAD EMPLOYEES, OR ACCOUNTABILITY IS THE PROBLEM.

I'm not defending this company one bit. I was a FTOW for 2 years and an SA for 2, but a lot that's wrong with this company or at least the team I came from, they're some lazy a$$ SRs. Yes, most FTOW were horrible too, but the SRs led by example. I would assume their mentality was gone after doing this work for 20+ years. Mine would too. I was always left to "push the number" on the week I would cover for them. Leaving their stores empty as he-l so it's my responsibility to fill it back up and work it all to the shelf. Diversity ki---d this company.

Why are people acting so surprised by the disgusting behavior of mondelez management? They have never had an ounce of morality or class. To hear that DM’s are blaming and passing the buck, that’s all they have ever done!! If your DM didn’t behave like this before, count your lucky stars!!! Our DM, T.M., is nothing more than a puppet piece. Drunk and totally incompetent, not only as a boss but as a family man too! Cheat!
Take what you can and run now cause things will only get worse from here!!

I was told that the pay rate for the ftow is going to be the same rate of pay as us sales reps that are taking the ftow. It sucks losing the car too. I know that I will refuse to transfer product to another store with my personal car.

All our good ft/order writers have quit or in the process of it. The replacements have been terrible, don't run backstock but ordering stuff that's out on it he shelf but sitting in backroom, not building displays. DM is always blaming us, SRs for their faults. If only we wrote better notes or did better service ourselves would they hold them accountable is what we are being told.

So you mean I'm correct when I keep saying the company is getting rid of sales reps, and basically making FTOW the "new" sales rep, without calling them a sales rep?

The company found a gross, disgusting way to get rid of sales reps, most with quite a bit of tenure, which includes company car, higher salary, bonuses, 401K, etc, and "quietly" replace the sales rep, with a FTOW, not called a "sales rep" but in essence a "sales rep," without the title, pay, or perks.
