If Oracle is a little bit serious company they should have some minimum standard of how many reportees a certain level should have. A M8 with 50 people is really stupid and hopefully it is a sign that the M8 should leave and merge in another team.
Delayering. Either your VP or Director will be a target and then you. They will ensure the business continuity will be there
In Aug/Sept 2025 it was everyone from IC3 up to M6 in my org. It will be the same this time, no doubt.

My senior VP was laid off. Sounds like he was asked for a list of name and decided to use his. Not sure if that means the rest of our department is safe or if it only lessened the blow.
Not just lower IC levels, This reorg is different. Higher positions/income are being target. M4,5,6, IC6 are part of it as well.
Managers are being told to vibe code.
