Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Voluntary layoffs would be a great option

Giving the option of volunteering would represent huge risks for this company, but for me it would be a good option. I believe that many would love to volunteer to be laid off?

I reckon they're afraid of how many good staff would look for it! Voluntary packages also have to be way more attractive than involuntary so would cost a lot more. They can just get away with treating people appallingly and keep it cheap.

Should be offered to several vice chairs who have made a mess of the business lines they were charged with managing and growing on behalf of the shareholders. In my opinion, if Berkshire drops anymore shares the quarter, AC, three days in the office and the teams sending American jobs to Poland should be shown the door.

Voluntary layoff are a great option for the employee, but not so much for the employer. The people most likely to take the offer are the more talented ones that have other options in the labor market. If they leave, then you're left with a less talented staff.
