Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Why are posts getting removed?

Seems to be more frequent these days.

What type of posts have been removed? I haven't seen any - but I don't follow that closely

It does see to be happening a lot recently. I know the is some policy but could this be just some overzealous moderator or even run but a bot?

@1cih Down/upvote manipulation could be another reason.

Whenever someone replying to one of my posts has exactly the same number of upvotes as I do downvotes within 5 mins it makes me wonder. Not that it matters.

As far as I can tell, the posts that have been pulled violated site policy. If you want to sh!t-post try Twitter or Reddit.

The sentiment is posts that violate site policy, and only those posts, are removed. But fun fact: No.

Evidence is growing that posts which are legitimate workplace grievances are being removed. Stay tuned, folks.

@OP Short answer: because they violate site policy.

Long answer: a lot of posts are going up with the apparent intent of spewing racist/s-xist/homophobic bile. All of it violates site policy. None of it has to do with layoffs. Hence it gets taken down.

There hasn’t been anything worth reading here for quite a while now. It’s mostly just retired right-wing culture warriors dumping stuff on the forum that they couldn’t say at work.

Because you are a troll.

Someone is watching you, and got tired of your ageist and misogynistic tirades.
