I just overheard our director on a conference call talking about Verizon to sell off non fiber areas that only provide DSL.
I know they tried this before here in Pennsylvania but Frontier wanted the whole state not just certain areas.
I just heard a bit of the conversation before the Director took the phone off speaker. I have no other information and it could have been just them talking but I wanted to pass it along.

I call BS as well. If it's not all - it's nothing.
And who is the buyer? Every property sale VZ has done post merger has been disaster for the buyer - I've literally been involved with them all on the IT side of it. The days of partial sales are over - it's all or nothing!
Calling BS as this isn't something directors would discuss. You must be bored
"Vz would sell the toilets in basking ridge if someone would buy it. Frontier was the biggest su---r to date so far !"
They do not own the toilets, they sold and leased back Basking Ridge years ago.

PA is worthless with the exception of SE PA (Philly area). Please sell it .
How is this not a good thing? The union pushed soo hard to keep copper and not advance to fiber. They were mad that Verizon wanted to train in people to build it out and now our line network is years behind.
When selling a house with a cracked foundation you polish the outside. Might explain the new bathrooms, LED lights and the painting of the garages.
vz sells everything. Its called fios by Frontier now.
What company would want to buy the non fiber?
Vz is trying to sell whatever it can and cut people and non profitable products wherever it can to stop the hemorrhage.
