I have a lot of bad things to say about Dell, but pay is not one of them. What's the biggest jump you've ever gotten?

Congratulations - 15 - 20% raises are common when switching jobs. Looks like you did a bit better. Don’t forget to move your 401K
@OP Should have gone to oracle. They're currently paying $100k base pay for racking and stacking equipment at their new data centers. Buddy of mine cleared $200k last year.
84 is where you will stay until you are laid off my friend.
That's awesome! Dell pays decently but I wouldn't say they pay "competitively" like they love to claim...
I applied for a position last year - that I never got - that was my literal position at Dell except it paid 40k more STARTING, and it was hybrid. I was bummed out but thankfully I genuinely love my current job! And this was at another fortune 500 company, 10 mins away from my house.
However, because I'm up for promotion I'm holding out hope because it'd be a 30-40k increase in salary and either way, my job is super cushy and chill...
I switched to GEICO and i did not save a dime on my car insurance.
@c7 Actually, 7 yrs is stale. 10, you’re really pushing it. Dell is riddled with lifers.
What is the significance of 7 years? In your opinion, anything longer than that, people become stale?
@b5 Meh. You’re probably a lifer. When you get cut, good luck finding anyone to pay you that. Your skills are probably stale AF you if you have been at Dell greater than 7 yrs. I wouldn’t brag if you have.
Meh. Cleared $190k last year, looking closer to $200k this year.
Folks can make money here if they know what they're doing.
Seriously I also left Dell 2 months ago and got a job making close to $32K HIGHER.. For those that don’t know.. Dell isn’t the only place to work.. quit ki-ling yourself day in and day out.. get a job with a company who actually cares.. a job that isnt married to Wallstreet. It’s more along the lines of self inflicted pain at this point if your at Dell and experiencing stress and no pay while supporting the executives and their best interests…
LoL. So you went from mumbai to round rock?
I am sure the sanitation is much better to.
