They know now. They have known for years. Service levels, response time, sales support, industry support programs have been declining for a long, long time. Product development has been shrinking and now virtually everything is sourced from other manufacturers. Customers have lived it all and they've all seen this boat sinking.

@j4 it’s a winning formula for the dealer and customer not Xerox.

@j0
That does not sound like a winning formula.

The other issue is the channel. Most multi-line dealers are offering alternative solutions at refresh to a Xerox for Xerox upgrade.

New business opportunities certainly pose an enormous challenge if the prospect has done any due diligence or is hearing things from competitors.

Inconsistent Hardware pricing is letting dealers sell 55 and 70 ppm Altalinks into volume segments that are really suited to 35ppm - Xerox is paying out more to retain this business in the form of spiffs and not making up the difference in maintenance volume.

Yup. Just lost a bid federal account for no other reason than our corporate finances were red on the client measurement scale. All the work done by sales wasted

No kidding. Customers noticed it 6 years ago. Major accounts that I knew had Xerox equipment are now Ricoh or Canon equipment. Customers know. Without a doubt or hesitation.

They Know…
