Management is clearly fu--ing with everyone. It’s almost like they are just creating this terrible environment hoping more people will leave. I’m mentally exhausted though, can’t wait to escape this toxic af place.
No person other than you cares about you. take care of yourself and your loved ones; Do work honestly for the compensation u receive and move on when things don't work out
Of course the "company" doesn't care about you. But how about doing the best job you can for the personal achievement and satisfaction. You are exactly the type of person that ki-ls teams - and everyone on your team knows who you are.
You can have that attitude if you are financially independent. If you need the paychecks and benefits than you might want to be careful. The job market is tough. Lots of tech people fighting for a few jobs. Lots of companies laying off. The tech employment gravy train is coming to an end.
@bv The majority of other places are the same way, you're a number on a spreadsheet and your salary for labor is a drain on the bottom line. I think the point was, the company isn't loyal to you, why should you be loyal to the company. It's the Office Space lore -
