Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Isn't it sad that I'm already worried about the next round?

Can't even get a day to be happy I survived this one.

I take the approach of not worrying too much about the layoffs at Optum, but instead planning ahead. I make it a point to apply to at least one job each week. Along the way, I’ve received feedback that’s improved my resume and LinkedIn profile.

I know people who were impacted earlier this year and again on 5/28. Don’t listen to anyone on this site claiming there are no layoffs in 2026, and try not to lose any sleep over the inevitable.

it's just how it is now. you have to financially build a safety net so you can sleep at night because we are absolutely left to the wind by most employers these days. voting helps too.

Instead of being a victim, start applying for another job.
