Why are so many XTO employees applying for jobs with us? We are another major in Midland and I’ve never seen this many XTO applicants before. What is going on at XTO to drive people away? Did you all have another layoff? Applicants seem to be top notch talent.

My guess is you are with Chevron, which is a kinder, friendlier version of ExxonMobil. At least Chevron lays people off with a reasonable severance. ExxonMobil will gaslight you, PIP you (fake layoff), and sc--w with your mind in exchange for 3 months pay… the year after they tell you you’re the best thing since sliced bread!
