Anyone else notice no one is getting promoted since ER?

I would expect promotions to be very rare. If you want one, you need to move roles.
These people know it's a bad job market and think everyone is replaceable (except themselves of course), so there is no incentive in their minds to recognize, reward, and retain talent - it only hurts their precious bottom line and returns.
Historically promotions only happened during annual reviews. Now that everyone's annual reviews were moved to the beginning of the year with common timing, does this now mean that promotions can happen at any time, not just during annual reviews?
Three in my department and role in the last two months.
Not sure what will happen first, a promotion or the tech bugs on my 2yr waiting list to be resolved...Grand Theft Auto 6 will happen before both of those options lol
I along with a handful of others experienced a team change during ER. We were explicitly promised promotions along with the expectation that it would be up or out. A few months in, we were once again reassured that out promotions were budgeted for and it was a matter of performance. Nobody has been promoted and timelines are shifting. At this point it's well past time to start making my own arrangements. I can't believe I fell for this.
I’m seeing quite a few promotions in my area under KJ.
@a8 Shut your face you lying piece of sh!t. It is a known fact that promotions and hires are severely capped right now and the DLs now have to go up the ladder to division leaders to sign off on a handful of promotions per year with 100s candidates who qualify. Take your ELT propaganda and stick it, nobody believes you d-mb effing clowns anymore. You are a laughing stock for this whole company. The butt of everyone's jokes. You have managed to sc--w up every single thing you touch and now have 90% of company hating you. Good job!!!!
They made it painfully clear when ER was announced that nearly all promotions would be frozen during at least one of the phases.
It was one of the many reasons why I left.
@OP , what's your definition of "promotion?" There's plenty of folks who are getting promoted at EJ. They're actually using their skill sets to find a new position in the firm, allowing a bump in pay and a new pay level.
