Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Kudos to Sara Gonzales!!

Checkout 'Sara Gonzales' on YouTube and X.. she's doing an amazing job to show the H1B and work visa abuse.
Almost 98% of work visas are being used by Indians.
Currently Ford has about 11k Visa holders in Engineering(not including the shopfloor). Which is more than 68% of work force..
DEI is a Joke!!

@np we are not much behind Europe where you get put in jail for saying anything negative about foreigners. I was UAW and was nearly fired because someone sent me an email that just stated facts about Islam and the constitution as incompatAble. Got 2 weeks off even though I denied and her was no proof.

Ford: we want our customers to buy an explorer, cause the profit margin is higher than an escape or edge.
Silly rabbit ford….. people are
Strapped too our paper fiat dollars can’t buy sh-t. Customers are
Strapped and re drowning
In debt. Maybe double prices cause your
Sales are going to be cut in half. So much for being in tune with your customers like Lee iacoca was oh that’s right hank fired him and he went in to rescue Chrysler who made cars people could afford.

This feels like a misleading post meant to trigger a herd reaction. Complaining here won't reach the CEO or solve the issue. The poster frequently changes their stories about visa holders, making this look like a personal vent session. If there is even an ounce of truth then name and shame the guys

The how do you propose we compete with low cost countries and foreigners willing to work for less?

And if you think for a minute that keeping mfg here and keeping foreigners out will magically cause companies to "pay higher wages", you have no idea how the world works.

This is the new normal.

A race to the bottom in price (salary) is a terrible business plan and career plan.

@ne Being American citizen means that we shouldn’t have to compete with the rest of the world for American Jobs in America.

We don’t have to let the outlanders in.

We don’t have to let foreign products in.

The globalists are leading Americans to the sla-ghterhouse.

@nm A huge influx of outlanders like we’ve had has stagnated the pay for tech workers.

@ne H1B employees are supposed to make the same or more $ as US Citizens. If they use H1B to undercut salaries, this violates the rules of the H1B program.

@n5

Then those entitled boys better learn how to compete.

If an equally qualified H1B is willing to come here to our great country and do the same job for less money - because it is still a fortune where he comes from - the the Stanford grads need to adjust their salary expectations. Otherwise, the hiring managers will always choose the least expensive version.

Also, tell all your children that college isn't the way. They should look into trades and labor jobs.

Even new Stanford grads can't find work. Look it up. When premier university grads cannot find work, it is long past time to shut off the H1B scam.

@jb I think we need an H1B CEO, clearly no American is capable of turning this place around.

@j5 The amalgamation of government and business creates distortions in markets and monopolies. Politicians pick the winners and losers. Competition would bring down the compensation of executives if not for the governments creating artificial barriers.

If you are angry about how much CEOs are getting paid, ask your politicians you elected to represent you what they’re doing to remove these barriers.

@hs If companies operating on American soil can hire outlanders instead of American citizens, being an American citizen has no value.

America does not have to allow foreign countries to dump either there subsidized products or their mediocre and malcontent populations on us.

Despite what the globalists preach, we do not need the rest of the world.

Competition works but governments corrupt it.

Marxism, progressivism and socialism are NOT the answer.

If you say that in this day and age you will be called a socialist.

Outrage should be directed towards the billionaires and companies that cheat the workforce by offering the lowest salaries and up the profit in their own pockets... not at the other humans who are just trying to survive.

Honestly, all these socialists make me sick. And I know a lot of you are loud and proud conservatives. But you are missing the mark.

Capitalism will build the product for the least amount of money and sell the product for the most amount of money.

That means you have to compete with low cost countries and H1Bs. Be better than them or be cheaper than them. That's your choice.

Or act like some purple hair wanting a hand out.

And all of you probably hated the union when it was 'urban' people. But now that it could help you, you love it. This forum was full of people insisting we need a union for salary employees.

You all need to step up and stop talking like Republicants and be true Republicans.

@h4 What does it mean to be an American companies are laying off Americans and hiring immigrants and spending extra money on immigration paperwork on top of salaries and benefits?

It means you are not good at your job.

What does it mean when contract jobs are going to India, Philippines and South america? It means cheap labor is better than hiring locals as per the American companies. Well too bad your own firms don't want you.

This...is the opposite of DEI, are you an id--t? DEI would be to give the jobs to higher costing American engineers with similar credentials because they're American. Do you not know what DEI actually means or do you just think it only applies when a non white person gets a job that a white person could theoretically do?
