This has been listed for the 25 years I have been with Ford. Somebody will save a nickel on their cost objective and a late Friday e-mail news dump with a notice the pension is being frozen.

But what does "lower pension income" mean in this context (below)?

A higher mix of lower-margin EVs, lower pension income, and rising software and EV investment costs are expected to be among major headwinds that are due to be abetted by union negotiations and potential supply chain issues
