Kelly King didn’t make a “bad” deal - he made a FANTASTIC deal - for Kelly King. He got everything HE wanted. His actions were so contrary to his sermons that if someone still buys it at this point, that is on them. I do feel sad for some really good people who trusted, and got hurt.
Bill Rogers is a demonstrably bad manager who couldn’t care less about employees. But he never tried to pretend to care. The way I see it, at least he has that going for him.
Kelly made a bad deal and caught an STI, but the rest of his tenure was positive.
Enron, Worldcom and Lehman Brothers all had worse CEOs...heck rhe IBM CEO that failed to recognize the switch from mainframes is worse. Bill and Kelly likely don't even rate in the top 50 worst.
