ponzi scheme at work - take debt, raid a profitable company for its ip, cut the perks and employees and pay the dividend for ibm stock. house of cards is about to collapse with a little gust of wind.

@cv it's strange that the company is showing investors money when the IBM share price has been stagnant for many years and the dividend only gets increased by 1 cent (0.01 cent) every year. It is pathetic. For a billion dollar company like IBM, one would expect a higher share price and a higher dividend. If it is not growing, why is that ? Fiddles done by executives at the top for siphoning $$ from the company ? They sure ain't making better (award winning) products at IBM.
Before getting RA managers were only allowed x amount of 2+ to get a raise, plus the year Ginni said no raises for anyone. It's a game where the CEO's from present back to Sam play to show investors money
@ba Watch your PMR on your raise statements. If you're under 100, they're knowingly paying you less than they know you're worth. And even if you get a raise, if your PMR goes down one between one year and the next, it's actually a pay cut and they know it.
100 PMR = 100% of a fair wage for your position, skills, experience, and history at IBM. If your PMR is under 100, they're knowingly short changing you and hoping you don't notice or quit. The only exception is if you're a new hire (first year or two) where you're ramping up into your role.
Mine was so terrible and will act like a pay cut . It’s pathetic to manipulate people like this. Time to leave was yesterday. Proof staying too long doesn’t pay off. Off to update my cv. I was corporate psychopaths. Who is making money because it sure ain’t us.
@ay money isn’t most important. The benefits are terrible at ibm . Try to find a place with a better total compensation and take into account time off/work life balance/health insurance/retirement, etc
@OP what’s the real story here?
Sometimes I wonder if I should get mad because I didn’t get a 3-5 percent raise or if I should channel that energy to find a job that pays 15-20 percent more. Or accept the harsh reality that this company wants to squeeze our 9s, 10s, and letters in any possible way they can.
@ar remember when someone asked for more bluepoints to give out and he said no? I made sure to give all mine when I quit

Nobody is getting raises this year, aside maybe the higher ups.... because IBM is gifting employees AI, think Bob and that cr-p!

But yes, I've heard that almost no one got raises, at least in consulting, and those that did only got token ones.
It means, IBM canceled raises for all regular employees, except Alvind bonus. IBM can’t afford both.
