I hope companies take the H‑1B debate seriously. The program should fill real skill gaps. Not create protected groups or favoritism. I really hope FNM is safeguarding against this, because some things raise concerns in teams. Fair standards and open knowledge sharing should apply to everyone, regardless of visa status.

Completely agree!, I've seen a recurring pattern where certain individuals H1B hired directly by managers or brought in as contractors receive exclusive access to project information, design discussions, and decision‑making. This creates concentrated institutional knowledge and positions them as ‘key experts’ while others are left out of communication loops simply because they hold information others were never given. .These individuals often advance quickly into Lead/Advisor or Manager roles based on information advantages rather than transparent, equitable evaluation. It’s unclear why broader, open competition for these roles isn’t happening.
Managers and directors safe guarding most of the contractors who are in H1-B and do not care about Transitioning/transforming to US citizens FTE employee! This is due to their incompetence in leadership along with technology gap and saving their a-s with one way decision making! Company is loosing millions of dollars due to their lack of technology acumen and they heavily politicized the team while favoring contractors!
