stock price wouldn't go up simply because some summit happened; it would go up if something believable and concrete were said at such a summit.
Qcom su-ks , end of story.
@er . Multiple failed diversification experiment bleeds investors. Every time a revenue or profit crisis happens CEO sells hopes to investors saying future diversification revenue.
The problem is inside. Company is full of non productive master politicians. Now every outsider knows QCOM lost competitive edge
@dw Let's consider the alternative perspective. If Qualcomm had remained solely focused on its modem business, the criticism would likely have been that it failed to diversify and continued relying on a mature legacy segment with limited long-term growth potential. Today, while not every diversification initiative has reached profitability, the company has successfully expanded into multiple domains, established customer relationships, and built a meaningful pipeline of products beyond modems. Diversification is inherently a long-term strategy, and early-stage investments are not expected to be immediately profitable. The important point is that Qualcomm is creating multiple avenues for future growth rather than depending exclusively on a single business.
The stock went up for a few hours. Seemingly driven by short time stock market vultures. Real and long term investors aren't buying it.
What happened to PC market chip set.?? Same story for data centre as well. Qcom executives and director done abusive employment practices; effectively to damaged many engineers life. QCOM is a sweat shop ; profit is recycled to executive compensation.
