Many long-tenured employees have remained with the company for years, often accepting a "loyalty penalty" where their compensation falls below market rates.
Unfortunately, following trends in other fast-paced companies, the company now appears to be targeting these foundational employees for layoffs. In doing so, management conveniently ignores that these foundational workers have been underpaid for years, even as peers at faster-paced companies earn multiple times their total compensation.
This shift raises serious ethical concerns. If you have the opportunity to find employment elsewhere, it may be wise to accept a new offer. Synopsys no longer appears committed to treating its workforce with the care and respect it once did.
