Skills test

These tests were kinda tough, weren't they? Barely got them done in the time allocated and definitely couldn't get all the tests to pass 100%.
It's just that we don't deal with these tests on a day-to-day basis so the tests seem a bit unfair. Plus not everyone knows db syntax etc. Some products don't even use db and requires recollecting knowledge learned in college 20 odd years ago lol.
Wonder how folks did in these tests and how exactly are these test results gonna be used.

@en not sure of other orgs, but a good portion of engineering under the CTO got assigned hackerrank/leetcode style questions. They promise that it is used to help employees understand where their skills are, but we know that ELT does not care about that. The questions are irrelevant for day-to-day of engineers and just gives off that reeking smell of a 5h1t test. For any engineer that is going through this, I'd start looking immediately for another job.

The test is to see how good you are at making AI requests, to get it to work for you.

Guys, what kind of tests are you talking about? I haven't heard of any, but ok, that's on me. Would you be kind to elaborate?

You are missing the purpose of the tests. It is not to identify what you do or do not know. It is to create a list for RIF’s. The lower your score, the higher you are on the list. With the current ELT, what you know has little value. All that matters is how much you cost.

Voyix field techs don’t need to speak or read English, the manager hires people from their own ethnic backgrounds, English is usually a second language, reading is not required.

At Voyix, as long as you speak English, can follow a script, and clock in & out. You're hired.
