The spectrum purchase nakes sense..... BUT...

There is zero confidence the current C Suite and Director level and above can execute.

The foundation is based on DEI and being a very experienced AD for 35+ years it's apparent this is the weakest Director + Team.

money was never the issue. we are a HIGHLY profitable company. But that's not enough if your comp is mainly stock and the way to goose the stock price is not "being a steady, profitable company". You gotta do something exciting. GROW! (yeah, not gonna happen)

If you can't grow revenue, at least grow earnings. How do you do that? Radically cut cost. Bring in a short time CEO with no skills beyond prompting an AI to write poems to his wife, but who will cut as many people as needed in order to make the numbers look good enough for the stock price go up. And since he's out no later than EOY'27 he doesn't give one duck about the longer term impact of what he's doing. Nor do the lackeys he brought in...

More layoffs = more money for Verizon to make such purchases. Guess what’s coming? Bingo more layoffs.

@OP Not having money was never the issue! The stock market favors ever increasing profits and one way to increase profits is to cut costs.

Verizon’s yearly free cash flow for the last 4 years is shown below. These aren’t Nvidia or Micron level numbers but still pretty good.

2025: $20.1 billion
2024: $19.8 billion
2023: $18.7 billion
2022: ~$14.1 billion
