I’m so stressed I’m having nightmares and daymares about me dying at my desk or turning into that Brendan Fraser movie The Whale. I think I might have to look elsewhere sooner that I thought. I was gonna holdout longer but I don’t think it’s a good idea

that’s how they bonded with each other. If you are not that type of person, you are out of the loop. That’s following the lead.
why are they always off doing marathons.
Sounds like the leaders can’t handle a big size company with 70k employees, so they have to downsize, sell off businesses to make their own jobs easier so they can have time to run marathons
I could’ve written this post. The constant stress and increasing demands while teams are slashed and resources are limited more and more is unsustainable
@an sell off evicore, sell US healthcare to Humana, silverscript becomes stand alone PBM, evanko goes onto retire and writes a sh!tty book and runs a marathons
@OP hang in there buddy. Lots of self-care and do not give the job more than you have to.
@aj I’m jealous too not gonna lie lol. I hope another one happens and I’m let go
@an when they get rid of Evicore it will probably reduce their payroll 10%.
Cigna is too large to be sold to any entity that could afford it. The sale would never pass regulators.
The most likely scenario is that Cigna breaks off evernorth assets, particularly Express Scripts to unlock earnings potential for investors. Of course the investors would also be the investors who are majority shareholders of Cigna and every other company.
I say this to my wife all the time.
At this point I’m hoping for a layoff before we’re sold off (we will be gone in the next 12 months either way). People are volunteering to quit because of the drag out and I’m a little jealous of the first group that got RIF’d. I would definitely be gone too if I was looking for the same/ similar position.
I don't think there's anymore layoffs this year. They want to have a stable 1-1 release for next Jan, so considering the number of people leaving on June 30th (thousands including DC), it is risky for the business to layoff more people. Once 1-1 is stabilized next Feb/Mar 2027 is going to be all he-l breaks loose provided the stock continues to lose more.
At the end of the day, if the company grows at the current rate, Cigna might even end up being acquired by Anthem or Humana once it loses steam as the healthcare industry needs consolidation as the next step...they will come swinging.
