I don't mean it'll go under any time soon, but there have been so many wrong moves in the past decade or so that I don't see a way to come out on top once again, no matter what's done. I just think Verizon has seen its best days and it'll always be downhill from now on.

@OP The industry has consolidated into three major players and there isn’t much growth potential. All three have been laying people off. As a result there’s more supply of people with telecom experience and less demand so these companies don’t have to treat employees well in order to retain them. Even if Verizon came up with a way to expand into new markets and generate more profits, they would have no reason to treat employees better. That’s a lost cause.
Verizon is still very profitable despite all the missteps and the missed opportunities of the last decade.
The only way to be competitive is price cuts. The only way to still fund the dividend is cost cuts.
Add in 10 years of MA follies and failed product launches (Blow90, family money, plus play, telematics, etc etc etc) and putting the wrong people,in the wrong job, for the wrong reasons... Well....
Verizon rewards yes-men and women. As long as these fools keep saying yes to stupid ideas and laying off people that actually know how this place works, the company will continue to go down the toilet.
with the people who are at the root of the problem being elevated (Vivek coming to mind), things will only get worse. Lost case indeed.
@ag HILARIOUS 😂
When you have a company laying off thousands, a declining stock price, a network that only internal leaders think is the best and inept leaders that keep getting moved around until they are fired that have no idea how the business operates like Scampath, Nancy, and Ken, yes the company is a dumpster fire. These people are all politicians, not business people.
I feel like this site is a lost cause.
@OP nothing last forever!!
fake post. trying to generate traffic. pretty sad.
@ag That's a funny sarcastic post but people with no sense of humor are voting it down. The number of people with no sense of humor is baffling.
@OP That's the wrong question to ask! The right question is whether you have a good future at Verizon regardless of whether it outperforms or stagnates. We're all expendable so you have to be clear eyed and determine what's good for you.
For what it's worth, I think it will continue on its current path. Hans dropped the ball and gave T-Mobile the chance to become a major contender and they can't put that genie back in its bottle.
If T-Mobile was smart, they would double down and put the game away but I don't see much evidence of that. They seem to be resting on their laurels.
Unfortunately I think all the right moves are happening. That's an unbiased opinion. Tmo and Att have lychee out butt for the past 10 years.
