Oracle is F’d. They are also pushing agentic AI development thinking they can replace even more engineers. In practice it’s making a huge mess that managers and directors can’t even see or understand. I’m seeing all sorts of purposeful human written code getting scrambled by rushed AI fixed bugs and this generic design doc driven development where everything is thrown over the fence to be coded. It’s a mess.
Also AI processes have not increased quality they have kept the stress of the job the same though.
