It is BS that we are not provided this information (Separation agreement and general release) so we can make an informed decision. The vsp line is a joke. They pretty much do not answer any questions and refer you back to the question and answered document that was shared.

@a8 did the attorney offer any advice or give any red flags to watch out for? Did they think having people sign the VSP without seeing the release prior was legal? Did they mention anything about the older workers benefit protection act? That’s a federal law that states people over 40 get 21 days to decide to accept an offer and if the employer is cutting a group of people (as is in this case) that gets extended to 45 days and you get seven days to change your mind after you signed
I contacted an attorney who said that receiving the actual agreement after you are unemployed is standard procedure. Insane.
