Sales, generalists, dual roles
AI bubble is getting harder and harder to justify, even if the products are popular.
Coding assistants are the only slam-dunk AI product so far. Everything else is just casual chat that no one will pay a premium for. Industry has loaded up debt for demand that isn't materializing.
Look at Oracle stock for a preview of what happens when the market changes its mind on a company's commitment to massive AI investment.
When (not if) this bursts, layoffs will increase dramatically. Probably enough $$$ in the pipe for next earnings season to be okay, after that we will see plateaus and it will be the .com burst all over again but with bigger numbers
