Calling quantum computing a "scam" ignores decades of legitimate scientific and engineering progress. It's fair to debate how long it will take to reach widespread commercial adoption, but that's very different from saying the entire field is fraudulent.

IBM, universities, national laboratories, and companies around the world are investing in quantum research because they believe it has long-term potential in areas like chemistry, materials science, optimization, and cryptography. Research doesn't become a scam simply because it's difficult or because commercialization takes time.

History is full of technologies that skeptics dismissed before they matured. Healthy skepticism is valuable. Dismissing an entire field of research as a scam is something else entirely.
