Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle leadership needs to wake up and smell the coffee. They can quickly return the company to profitability

by making a major announcement that all Oracle California employees need to relocate on their own to Saint Louis Missouri to keep their jobs. Oracle can lease many empty office buildings in Saint Louis at a much lower lease price than what Oracle is paying to lease office in California. An added plus is getting away from the California Lunatic Democrat Politian's.

@er it is in the context of the original post... it is just like the words black and female are not derogatory but if you insert either of those in place of boomer in the original text it would be considered racist or s-xist. It is clear it was meant as an insult and could easily have been left out.

Isn't St. Louis the place where the the so-called AT&T building was purchased for $200M, but then unload for fire sale pricing around $3.5M? Yep, prime real-estate in St. Louis. Everyone should cash out and move there.

@cp when you have to call people derogatory names it speaks volumes about both your intellect and your character. It isn't a flattering light that you cast upon yourself. It is a shame that people can't have different views and work through them to form a compromise. Now it is us or them and frankly I don't want what either side is selling. I feel sorry for all of the fanatics. It must be a miserable way to go through life.

Why St. Louis? As mentioned they already own a lot of space in KC, but if people are going to be forced to move it's going to be to Nashville.

Office buildings are utterly pointless, I have been working from home for the past 18 years, IC5 software engineer. I will never return to any office, it's an obsolete concept just to entertain boomer bosses.

Oracle has a lot of empty office space in KC. The old Cerner buildings are very empty.

@OP Send everyone home to work, why even pay for a building you can operate without?

Unless you're counting on having all those people quit, and saving severance...
