Just found out that a Director who is known for being a bully to her team, not a good leader and hard to work with was just promoted to an AVP. They are promoting the wrong people while laying off the ones who actually care and are servant leaders to the business.

Sounds like just another day at T. Welcome to the machine!
We have an AVP they brought from outside US who is disliked so much for his narcissistic attitude and work style. Why on earth did they make this decision to bring this person in..obviously to make the situations even more miserable so people can leave!!!.
My AD who is deserving of at least one level promotion and couldeasilyhandle a AVP title, wallows as an AD because he won't move to Texas were apparently, all of the great leaders are.
The term “Servant Leader” causes me to groan and eye roll instantaneously. One of those corporate mumbo jumbo meaningless nonsense terms everyone glommed on to. Yuck.
That’s what they are looking for. Bosses that make people work to death and make them leave.
Btw, I’ve got no problem with a woman in power, she can boss me around all she wants.
L. Watson?
Please tell me its not the new AFO AVP!
I’ve seen Directors use open profanity in the workplace to intimidate employees!!
I know a Director that violates conduct policies and was given a promotion and encouragement!!
Avp and director are about the same thing.
My manhood cannot take a woman in position of authority.
Name?
Are you new to AT&T? Being a bully, a bad leader and difficult to work with… those are all behaviors/traits that they look for when promoting to AVP and above. If the person in question keeps it up, they could be CEO someday. We currently have a CEO that is a prime example of exhibiting said behaviors.
What is the name of the AVP?
