Antwerp Update?

Anyone have updates about Antwerp? I see that it’s been completely shut down since June 29th due to a strike. Not sure which way things are going.

But come on - we all know that the downstreamers are awesome and the Upstreamers su-k. That’s what brother Darren thinks and his jealously of the Uostream will destroy this company

I feel like more strikes in more manufacturing sites is appropriate.

ExxonMobil's Antwerp refinery to stop output from June 29–July 3 due to strike
6/24/2026 8:00:00 AM

ExxonMobil's oil refinery in the Belgian port of Antwerp is to stop output from June 29 to July 3 due to a strike action, the company's press office said on Wednesday.

Workers at the refinery oppose a plan to cut 35 jobs out of a total of 735, ABVV Petroleum union said on its website.

The strike is also related to staff complaints about deteriorating working conditions and fewer opportunities for early retirement, despite ExxonMobil's higher profits due to soaring fuel prices, added the union's statement.

The job cuts are part of a broader reorganization of all the company's activities in the country that will lead to a 20% cut in headcount, the union statement said.

The refinery has a production capacity of about 320,000 barrels per day, ExxonMobil said on its website in 2018. It treats different sort of crudes and produces LPG, petrol, naphtha, kerosene, diesel, gas oil, fuel oil and sulfur.

On May 1, ExxonMobil beat estimates for its adjusted earnings, although net income dropped to its lowest level in five years due to global supply disruptions caused by the Iran war.
