Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Opinions on BP Wells LS and LJP as leaders

You get to determine the direction and fate of bp wells just you brilliantly did with the minister of people and culture. These two managers come with skill sets, challenges, and positive and negative attributes. How will Wells perform moving forward. The more you share the more the needle moves…sounds weird but it’s true

@a5 why are we comparing Kaskida in GoA Paleogene that has a success history to wells on Venezuela and Colombia?

LS and LJP are tasked with delivering Kaskida. Kaskida is a 100% bp financed project that has zero industry operating partners. Their professional careers will be tied to the success or failure of this venture. Predict bp will bring someone in once the Bernadette’s are feeling the literal 20,000 psi pressure.

@a2 some no BS people I know in Wells really trust her, and I trust these people. I wish she could have done a little more in procurement, but she made a good start that AA will finish.

@a3 calling out what is observed reverse bias and favoritism. This is an unfortunate reality and has and continues to victimize and placate bp staff. The BP will be a going concern in a 100 years is complete hubris. Just juxtapose the UK situation today with where UK and its citizens perceived to be…

Also, Kaskida is looking like those failed projects undertaken in Venezuela and Colombia. So it’s not like bp’s future is underpinned by a new version of Thunderhorse or ACG

Meg has set these two up! They were both heavily promoted and protected by the master class at bp. Now it’s a new world and without flawless well delivery bp actually risks executing MO’s vision.

They are both going to be very successful, and move on to higher band roles. Bp has great assets and people that do great work so it’s immaterial who runs the show. We lost a lot of folks at the very top this year, bp will be around for the next century either way.Everything anyone can come up wiith has already been tried and done. Not sure why you call out women vps. There are 7 divisions in upstream with 7 SVPs.

@OP Wasn't LJP a Bernardette? If so, don't hold out much hope.
