@dh Alvind wants to know if you can write your program in COBOL please.
Or was it Perl ?
Apparently the folks on Joanne Wrong's F&O team are clueless. But they so enjoy their Ca--abis hours, so she can't deprive them of that.

IBM logic

10: pay the editor at a media outlet to publish articles about quantum and ai
20: fire experience employees by putting them on pip
30: announce no raises or bonuses
40: hire at entry level and blue wash
50: issue directive to mark 15% of employees as low performers
60: wait for the stock price to go up
70: payout millions in stock grants to sr. executives
80: watch for stock price to decline
90: goto 10

@d5 You slimy IBM India HR bot parasite. All IBM management cares about is the stock price and executive salaries and bonuses. Get a pair.

There are too many millionaires in the USA. We lead the world in the number of millionaires. Is that a result of capitalism? The topic of overcompensating executives has been a point of discussion for decades. Do they deserve their hefty salaries and bonuses? What happens when their executive decisions backfire? Should their base salary be lowered quite a bit and then their bonuses be higher based on successful outcomes?

Laying off people is never easy. I am sure it takes a toll on Arvind and his executives. Tough decisions have to be made. That is why I am continuing to upskill. I just completed 2 more badges

No humanity left at IBM - Nobody called me back at IBM and I don't know of anybody who has been hired back.

Those id--ts at IBM may have confused Bob for a human worker.

Another paid article by corrupt management of IBM?

@OP
This whole story is stretching the truth.
Due to the decline of quality control at Ford (F), Ford executives claim, they are reversing the decision on the extensive use of AI and hiring back some quality engineers fired earlier.
There was no mention in the story, which executives have to be fired for adopting an AI solution, not good enough and caused quality issues.
The executives make the stupid mistakes, they do not get punished.

I'm pretty sure the crooks running IBM will find a way to justify employee cuts due to quantum next.

They are still firing older experienced employees and they train their young cheaper replacements
