NetApp Admits Mistake and Rehires?

Anyone had NetApp admit they made a mistake getting rid of you and asked you to come back to the same role as if you never left? Didn't happen to me, but curious of others had it happen?

Yes we have to lie to OEM partner on everything e.g. timeline, products and a lot of stuff. I don't like to work at netapp that constantly lie to customers. now i have to worry about getting let go. No motivation at all.

About 12 years ago, I got RIF'd from one org. Within a couple months, I was offered a job in another org that I'd worked with in the past. So, not back to the same position, but effectively, previous networking brought me back again.

With E-Series, NetApp didn't understand some of the OEM partnerships and when they tried to ki-l off that product line, the partners were not happy.

I know someone it happened to a few rounds ago. Unfortunately they didn't use it as a negotiating point and now regret it. Live and learn!

I heard this happened with some of the E-series folks a couple years back. They fully ki-led off the program and then backpedaled a couple months later.

I've not seen it but there was a marketing senior director who was let go in the last round and rehired as a senior director for a different team a couple of weeks later.
