Funny that there were comments posted earlier in this stream. That said, the new CEO was going to be conducting layoffs and calling them restructuring but people tended to laugh and provide score for those who warned. Here's one last warning for you. I have been in meetings and more are coming. Every Department will be hit because our plan is to move as many people's functions to India as possible.

Product Engineering just got hit. Does anyone know when that department will get hit again? If I have any idea how long I have to find a new job, it would help a lot
If he can shut down that office that's a lot more money that can be saved. Just sayin
Amit went to Portugal to motivate people and to keep them from downing tools and finding new jobs. Same grift with the "we'll never have layoffs" line, imagine if people knew more layoffs were coming...I don't think they'd be motivated to continue working if that were the case. Like the other person said: "restructuring" = layoffs, you're naive to think otherwise lmao
@OP Agreed...I have been in the same meetings....
So amit goes to Portugal to meet with the entire office with a smile on his face and then personally oversee terminations? That's cold blooded
I'm based in Portugal, and both I and many others have received mutual termination agreements. I achieved over 90% of all my most recent MBO objectives, and I've never received any complaints about the quality of my work. More recently, our team has also taken on several new contractors from India.
The most striking part is that the mutual termination agreement the company has sent appears to offer less than the amount employees are legally entitled to receive. I'm not even referring to the fact that, in a genuine mutual agreement, it would be reasonable for the company to offer an additional payment on top of its statutory obligations.
And amit just went the portugal to assure them they will be okay?
