3 of us from Lake Mary got called into a meeting with the CCCP people ttam about things we posted on a Facebook local TV news forum, nothing of which was remotely bad, racist, offensive or anything…but it went against the current president. One of us then posted a “hello there- testing” message on a Facebook news forum and a member actually commented back “well hello there. Be respectful!” What…the…is this Russia now?

@OP Several years ago BNY conducted a training about the use of social media that scared the he*l out of me. The gist was that if you posted something that could be offensive to another BNY employee then you could get in trouble for that including being terminated. This is why I don’t have any coworkers as FB Friends, so none of them can be offended. My guess is that one of your Trump loving FB coworker “friends” turned you in.

Look at even what you posted here on this public and anonymous site. Do really think that with the detail you even gave here that BNY cyber analysts can’t figure out who you are in 45 seconds? They didn’t do some enigma code on you. You stu.pidly have told them who you and your accomplices are. Again.

This happened to me (NY) back in 2019. I left the bank of my own accord in January. As long as you don’t post anything negative on a social media platform again for the world to see (news forum), you’ll be fine.

Yes. As citizens we are all protected by the 1st amendment. But other citizens, companies, groups and localities get to exercise their rights on what you say too. And this BNY has a charter and code of conduct sheepskin that forbids you from making public commentary as an employee, being a spokesperson unless permitted or exposing bank software or products. And guess what the numbskull OP did? Anyone who thinks their personal phone or private lap top that runs Bank software and is not subject to Bank scans and social media detection is just asking to be fired.

A few things here. First, if you used any privaite device of yours that you also use for work, you are going to be taxidermied by the people’s scream. Second, only a complete fool bad mouthes this President who is undoing years of messes. Third, if truly were called in by the people’s C.C.C.P scream team, you better make preparations now for being fired later. As they have likely nailed you for more than what you think. They probably also have evidence of you being an active member here on this site. Lesson learned? Don’t do this again or at least use a dum.my device.
