Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Layoffpoli

It’s disappointing to see some employees take weeks off or work from home without concern, while dedicated, high-performing employees face layoffs. Decisions should be based on merit, not relationships.

one employee hired 3 years ago, his manager fessed up today that the employee hired 3 years that their work is now under a microscope, what does that mean what did this employee for the first 3 years do? nothing. those are the people that should been let go within the first 12 months of employment. Many more of those examples all in the same group too. Bad management over sight, same group, some Associate Directors never authored any of their reports or metrics or slides, never updating metrics

What a mo--nic post. Am I not allowed to take vacation time for the hard work I've put in?

working from home doesn't make me dedicated? WTF I am on day 10 of 19 straight days, many of then 16-19 hours long and without paid overtime. Give me a break and get a clue. I don't go into the office but I also don't get lunches, don't take breaks and don't take time out of my day to chit chat.

That's why I make my work look amazing and embellish my work. The other 4 hours I do house chores and yard work. Joking, but seriously it's based on more factors than if you just work hard.

Sorry to break it to you, bootlicker, but that's not how it works. Maybe if you wave your magic wand a little harder, your dreams will finally come true!
