Treating people well isn't complicated. When you respect employees, they stay and contribute. Mistreat people and it brings everyone and everything down, including productivity. Why can't leadership figure this out?

When the job market is bad, employers act with impunity. When the job market is good, they'll kiss empolyees' butts. It's the way pf the world. This regime, however, is very bottom line focused, so don't expect improvement even when the pendulum swings back.
@f2 well aren’t you special. Keep su-king up.
@OP I can only speak for myself. In 14 yrs, I have moved around 7 times in the Org. Not because of poor leaders, I wanted to learn something new. Majority of my moves were lateral. I am not here to change how a manager treats me, but do my job and look for new opportunity to learn. Bonus if I have a great leader.
I think they know they are guilty of mistreatment and lack of respect, but they like the control.
@OP what happened, specifically? Which leaders? Which divisions? Not all are bad or even equally bad. Thank you for sharing.
@b3 I’m not sure that they do know. The leaders are completely incompetent and couldn’t run a hot dog stand well.
Your post assumes that they don’t know. I assume that they know and just don’t care…job market works in their favor right now.
