Most of the people already working here are trying to escape. Yet somehow, people are still applying. I honestly can't figure out what would make someone want to join this mess. It's a mystery to me.

@ag So if it is such an awful place, why are you still here. Also, if they stopped letting you interview new hires because you told them how awful it is here,
why is it they are still keeping you here without letting you go in the many RIFs?

You are paid $X for 100% effort whilst working for a company. Don't delude yourself into thinking NetApp cares about your welfare, work-life-balance. It's all show. Don't believe me, ask those that got rif'd.
One moment your manager says you're a vital team member, the next your position has been eliminated and don't let the door slam you on your way out in 24hrs.
Your job in the company is just a contractual transaction, don't expect more from any company. That way you won't be sc--wed into working 60hrs a week thinking there's no way you'll get nicked.
