If you are here and complaining about all the dedication you put in to the company it was because you got a pay check. We all got sucked into the 2025 growth plan and for a short bit there it looked like a reality, until the stock crashed; as wall street has been punishing us for over zellous growth.
I am here for 3 reasons.
- To get paid and perform for our customers
- To increase my own skill set so I stay marketable if I were to leave Salesforce
- to increase value to our shareholders.
Salesforce has been a good place to work and they were very generous with the exit package from what i heard. You will probally not find a better place to work during your career, but they had to do what they are doing, and if it effects you or me, that is part of doing business. Keep you stock, it will improve. Oracle did the same thing a few years ago and their stock is not double.
My point, you should be here for you; not to be here for loyalty to Mark or Salesforce; to them you are just a number.
Do the best you can do but don't wait for the keys to the car.
