Anyone else seeing no luck with internal jobs?

It ain't just the UB folks getting laid off. The internal USB people have been hit too. FYI - job market is not looking good right now. I have a folder of resume responses that say
"Position Cancelled". All the FIs are hunkering down.
it's only going to get worse the rest of this month with layoffs from UB as they reduce redundancy and economic factors
I'm a UB mortgage consultant from CA - myself and many others LO's were let go via a Teams call. I knew what was up when I got the invite (which included a bunch of HR-types from USB) but most of the people on that call had no idea what was about to hit them. Only a select few LO's were retained - top producers who honestly deserved to keep their jobs. I then was told that all of the Ops people were terminated - UWs, processors, etc. All gone.
I worked with some pretty great people at UB. The whole process was pretty disingenuous after all the false promises and hoops they made us jump through to make it to LD1. Those that were kept are sure to be disappointed by the much lower comp they end up with. Best of luck to everyone affected by this...
I’m from Union. I also heard of the hiring freeze. My manger was talking about it this morning. It will allegedly last at least through February (for retail at least).
The end of February / early March is also when we were told we’ll learn which Union retail branches will be closed. Seems like March - April is when some of the dust will start to settle and we’ll find out who’s left standing.
Can also confirm that many Union back office mortgage people were cut yesterday. I’m unsure of the numbers, but it seems most of them are already gone with little notice. Only a few remain to man the ship until Union can no longer offer certain lending products in the upcoming weeks.
I am in Arizona, came from Union Bank. Yesterday they fired 25 Loan Officers, only 15 of us get to continue.
What states did MUFG employees get laid off in?
The priority seems to be system integration. I would say job freezes are on a need basis only.
Mufg employees from mortgage got the lay off news yesterday, about 500 people
That kind of information is usually held close to the vest until the management makes its move. Sorry.
Any news if the employees from the Mufg Union Bank acquisition are being placed with US Bank teams or being laid off? Specifically those who are working 100% remote in New Jersey and New York.
