Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Looks like Dave Calhoun the fired train wreck that put Boeing in the toilet is already leading Ford

Ford issues multiple SUV recalls over fire, rollaway and seat risks
Fire hazard warning: Over 565,000 Broncos and Bronco Raptors are recalled for wiring harness damage that can spark engine fires, with owners told not to drive or park indoors.

Rollaway risk: More than 741,000 Expeditions and Navigators face a park system defect that can let vehicles move in 'Park,' prompting a software fix and urgent parking precautions.

Seat safety flaw: Nearly 400,000 Explorers and Aviators have rear seats that may not lock, risking passenger injury; dealers will inspect and repair at no cost.

Ford truck and car transmission troubles
Widespread complaints: Ford’s 10R80, DPS6, and hybrid truck transmissions have generated thousands of owner reports of hard shifts, hesitation, and loss of power.

Manufacturer action: Ford issued multiple Technical Service Bulletins, recalls, and design updates, but not all owners feel the fixes fully resolved the issues.

Ongoing impact: Litigation, warranty costs, and damaged consumer trust continue to affect Ford’s balance sheet and reputation.

Have you ever run into Next Gen transmission components, these guy are making fixes for all these issues on Ford and GM transmissions. Their fix seems to be deletion of vibration dampers from the valve body. If these transmissions are truly fixed this makes one wonder why these items were in the transmission in the first place.

@gk to add this ll4 is in the media talking about “giving people a voice”, well the problem is you we-ponize process and give a voice to a fixated stalker, while sending the victim to the hospital. Operates her area like a gestappo day camp using the men as indentured servents.

@e9 funny story about DEI managers. I once knew an LL four would walk around saying I protect my girls when one of her girls was stalking a g-y man. She ended up using psychological games and tactics and destroying his career while she was allowed to continue stalking that’s the danger of DEI. It’s only as good as the hands.

Calhoun was trained as an accountant and has no engineering background. However, he has a lot of experience in obtaining government contracts from his time at GE and Boeing. As we all know from the constant power points we are now focusing on ”Industrial” (aka military government vehicles) as consumers are rapidly turning away from overpriced trucks and SUVs. Ford was recently awarded government contracts to build tactical trucks. I hope we don’t F it up. It is an opportunity to do true innovation and engineering instead of bolting together the slop from the parts closet. The problem is all the experienced engineers were ushered out the door by professor Hackett and Farley carried on the tradition. Wait didn’t Boeing do the same thing leading up to its public failures?

Today Boeing bragged that they will have to build a lot of planes due to recent big orders.
The company now only employs Yes man/women, Bean Counters and DEI hires and few experienced engineers who have worked on several new airplane programs throughout their careers at Boeing. Boeing forced out all the older guys who had demonstrated experience. Now Boeing is only a skeleton of the company they were 30 years ago. Boeing has a lot of planes to build which will account fora lot of expensive late fees for missing delivery dates. What can ever go wrong with that picture.

I left Boeing 10 years ago when Boeing leadership, who's made up of DEI hires decided to make a DEI hire a manager of the structural design group I was working in. I heard after I left the company, they replaced the DEI hire with a young engineer who was just as clueless with limited experience.
