I am OP of 19 years and you are totally obsessed with it. I am glad for it. Expect 1, everyone in my old team left cisco, and the manager I hate is retired. While, I hate my teammates, they are doing OK in other companies. You just need note that I stopped posting further here and hence you need associate every post to 19 years post.
Need some reality check that this isn’t the hey days anymore when Csco dominating routing, switching, security, voip etc.. Company can afford back then all the bloated exec headcount, Oprah storytelling, social justice and inclusion fan fares.. last 11 years what’s getting dominated are the yearly layoffs news headlines. Please get a grip of reality.
@1afa+1kzmJGzx Totally agree. In UK the layers are even more ridiculous in SE org. The place is being run like a mafia outfit. The SE management brings in the HR and pip process at the drop of a hat. Management by fear. Saw another thread where someone stated he/she is leaving this new year. I am in the same boat whether I get LR-ed mid-Jan to Feb or not. Got couple of other offers which are good for a jump. I'll look around for better opportunities once the market stabilises. Right now I am no longer able to take the weight of this stress down on us from the SE management. I am done here. Not going to wait for a severance paycheck in case I dodge the LR list this time. Enough is enough.
Workplace just too top heavy. For a sinking ship, why would you need this many senior VPs, VPs, senior Directors..just ridiculous
