Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Proud of our world class organization

I’m not talking about the whole company‚Ķ.I’m talking about HR. The rest of the company is above average, but HR is world class and I’m proud to call them our own!

CVX HR is the best/world-class?!? They have been known to give out people’s personal information to anyone who asked (which is a big no-no). They break their own rules. This has to be a joke. No one trusts them.

Funny how OP thinks of a peripheral part of the company as "world class" to the exclusion of the rest of the company. Last I checked, no one in HR finds, produces, refines, or sells any oil and gas or their products.

@rhf is right. HR spends so much time reinforcing to themselves how great they are. They don't realize SR uses them only to 'normalize' the D&I numbers. When you do need HR, you contact with them (that is, your BU rep) is usually some high school graduate who can't even tell you how much vacation time you are entitled to ("I'll have to get back with you on that one..." is their most common response).

In my sentence at Chevron I witnessed more unethical behavior from HR than any other function.

I spent years at Chevron before retiring. The group I worked in never knew who our HR partner was. HR was too busy having meetings with themselves and avoiding the people who actually worked for the company!

Oh brother! HR eats their own at all times, not just during a layoff

RM and the 4 HR GMs that cannot hire an advisor need to be replaced immediately to build morale. No one is willing to deal with even more abuse than normal Chevron BS.

If you have an "above average" company, why do you need a "world class" HR?

That's great to hear! A strong HR department is crucial to the success of a company. It helps attract and retain top talent, ensure a positive work environment, and drive organizational growth. It sounds like your HR team is making a big impact on the overall success of your organization.

Hi RM i hope your keeping well, safe and enjoying your share sale proceeds.

You do have a world class back biting, disagreeable, abusive, hateful, bigoted, misandry and ageist organization.
For my observation over that last 5 years the listed attributes are exactly those you have wanted to instill in your organization. So by your measure HR are world class.

What has made you so bitter towards half of humanity?
