Chevron Park to be condos?

The new owners of CHVPK are considering using some of it for residential housing. Building A could be turned into luxury condos. The CEO's office (which includes a commercial kitchen, bar and dining room) could be yours!

I hope the keep the cafeteria with the Chevron menu. And of course the lovely fountain.

Where is Chevron’s new headquarters in San Ramon?

Sunset Development, the principal owner and developer of Bishop Ranch, an office, retail and restaurant mixed-use hub in San Ramon, said Chevron’s new headquarters will be at BR 2600, a giant office center within the business park. San Ramon-based Chevron agreed to lease nearly 400,000 square feet in the BR 2600 office complex.

Plans for the existing Chevron Park:

January 30, 2023: "...the concept for a mixed-use development consisting of 1,000 houses and condos and 1,250 apartments, along with 125,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space, a park, and a transit center was laid out.

Sunset Development officials presented the concept to the City Council last Tuesday (Jan. 24), seeking to incorporate plans for the property into city officials' long standing plans for developing and fleshing out a downtown area in the growing city."

I'm actually pretty impressed with the quality of the entire facility, given its age. They may remodel the interior, but that's about it. Heaven knows Chevron remodeled the interiors every few years.

Those buildings are so old, they should tear it all down and build new condos (smart choice considering the mall and Whole Foods and Target are across the street and the exit to the freeway is right there).

I actually slept in my chevron park office floor a few times. So, that was sort of a condo. First floor had showers.

Chevron Park has always been condos. Only everyone was made to believe it was an office park.

I hope they build a pirate ship where the sand volleyball courts are now.

Building A has underground parking so that could work as a condo for sure. The CEO's office could be a grand living room!

I hope this post is a joke because if a Chevron employee is seriously this d**b, we have bigger problems than a lousy CIP.

They’re tearing it all down, of course. I mean, you don’t actually believe they’re gonna keep the buildings, right???
