Thread regarding USAA layoffs

It’s such a farce

Wayne and other leaders act like it’s about the members. I bought into this, hook, line and sinker. Does anyone really care? Or does it get lost in the middle? First line managers would rather support the cr---y vendors versus the members.

The second line is a bunch of washed up managers from Wells and Citi. How’d that work there? Short answer it didn’t. USAA hired good people and wouldn’t listen to them and current leadership ran them off.

Former regulators, experienced big bank people and they were silenced or worked to death, or pushed out, by a passive aggressive culture. While trying to prove rampant operational weaknesses and valid compliance findings. The lack of accountability here is astounding.

There are many companies that have toxic/horrible people. The difference between these places and USAA is at USAA, the people pretend to be nice to you. They wrap themselves in all kinds of bs "rah rah." They will turn around and stab you to elevate themselves. I have seen this repeatedly in many groups and departments. It's encouraged by the culture.

The extremely pervasive cliquish toxic passive aggressive culture will drive anyone new out the door very quickly. You can't trust anyone as they will pretend to be nice in front of you and stick a kn--e in your back by feeding bad feedback about you to others.
