Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Our Aero leaders are so great that they are mandating 46.5 hrs OT for next 8 weeks.

After all of the mandatory OT last year they are at it again. They cant hire anyone to fill in the gaps so they over work the already underpaid engineering team with the blatantly false statement that it is for our customers. Cant wait to retire

You are correct. But to answer your question of how long will it go on? It will go on as long as the worker bees comply with the greedy demands - with no benefit to the worker bees.

I hung in for far too long and finally gave up and left aero engineering last year. After 25 years. I only wish I had left earlier. So many great jobs out there - forget “hanging on” - just leave. They don’t deserve good employees. I bent over backwards for them but never got anywhere. Now they keep begging me to come back. Never.

When the F will they realize that were not GED workers. If we were that stupid just RIF us, but then who would turn the crank?

They would actually receive the benefits they want if they would just pay OT over 42 hours, but it is so ingrained in them that you got to complicate it, and sc--w the employee that they need to spend hours explaining (with a straight face after many hours of coaching lessons) the ‘rules’.

Unbelievable that this continues to go on

And yeah, they actually stated that to get it approved to pay the employees this is how it had to be.

The TRUTH is they get paid for all REVCOG hours charged on government programs, but historically they just keep it as gross margin and use it to buy back stock to line their own nests.

I am in aero haven’t received it any.
Was it a very specific department?

They sent out email today, for any hours over 320 for next 8 weeks they will pay extra. But it all has to be on RevCOGS and is only cumulative. So vacation, training, all hands meetings, sick leave all dont count towards the 320 hours.

I cannot argue with this statement. You wait until they have an RIF. Then no expect you to even work more.
You guys have the philosophy. I want to be able to move as far through the company as possible. So you'll bend over backwards, in order to please them.

Good luck with all your overtime. They'll bend you over all right. You probably like it dry.

True. Except no word on paying incentives.
thanks but i need written direction from my program manager in order to work any unplanned task. Charging gov customer would be illegal without that permission. People managers do not own program budgets.

It worked last year and the year before so why not try again. Free money for HW.
